Ask a librarian

Interactive (synchronous) communication between library staff and website visitors and real-time support.

Live support allows visitors of the library mini sites to communicate directly with library staff on topics that interest them.

  • Features offered include written communication without the need to refresh the chat window, automatic waiting queues, operator availability indication and usage statistics.
  • The service's operating hours are 08.30-15.30, unless otherwise stated.
  • In case the service is not working or for any reason you do not receive a response (e.g. unavailability of staff), you may send questions or support requests directly to the Library Helpdesk or by going to the top right of the website and selecting "Contact" or by clicking "Helpdesk: Ask a Question!" on the main homepage.

The "ask a librarian" service is offered on each page of the School libraries' mini sites in a special area that appears in the lower-right corner of the window (like the images shown below).
