Founding and Operation of the Library of the School of Educational Sciences

The Library’s collection aims to support the School's educational program, thus covering mainly the fields of Education, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Literature & Linguistics, as well as subjects of wider cognitive interest. More than half of the available titles are in Greek, whereas the majority of the remaining titles are in English.

A large number of foreign language journals can be searched electronically.  The open public access catalogue can be accessed through the new updated Portal of the Library & Information Center   www.lib.uoa.gr and through the Hellenic Academic Libraries Association www.heal-link.gr. Access to full text articles can be provided only via verified NKUA IP addresses.

The Library of the School of Educational Sciences is a lending library. The right to check out material is granted to Academic & Administrative staff as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students. Journals and reference materials, such as dictionaries and encyclopedias are non-loan able. Additional information on checking out policy (e.g. loan periods, number of items borrowed) is provided by the library staff.
