According to the new Rules and Regulations for the Operation of the School Libraries of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as well as the prescribed security measures due to the pandemic, starting Tuesday 20/10/2020 the Library of the School of Philosophy will be open to the public  from 8.30 to 16.30.

Both Long-term and one-day borrowing are available upon request (visit our website). One-day borrowing includes the use of books both outside and inside the library, i.e. study in the Reading space. Entrance to the Reading space for the purpose of studying is allowed every two hours according to the following schedule: 9.30-11.30, 11.30-13.30, 13.30-15.30.

Users can only make use of the material they have ordered through the online application and are obliged to return it back themselves to the trolley at the Main Circulation Desk, so as to be placed in quarantine for 3 days. Visitors are not allowed access to the Library’s bookshelves. The Library of the School of Philosophy will also provide 10 computers for the use of the public, upon electronic request (visit our website), according to the following schedule: 9.30-11.30, 13.30-15.30. You are reminded that the use of a face mask both by the staff and the users of the Library is mandatory.

Due to the recent requirements to provide remote work and the shortage of staff in the Library, we ask for the understanding and cooperation of all for the smooth operation of the Library in the near future.
