Submiting a paper to Pergamos Institutional Repository

Undergraduate & postgraduate students as well as doctoral candidates of the Departments of the School of Sciences must follow the steps below in order to be eligible for a degree.

It is necessary for students to have an active email account at the University of Athens in order to have access to the personalized services.

 

STEP 1

After the approval and grading of the thesis, students must upload it (mandatory in pdf format) in the Institutional Repository "PERGAMOS", completing all fields of the Inventory Form, following the Instructions given.

  • Be advised that we never use capital letters in names, keywords, titles, etc.
  • Electronic submission is possible from any computer.

The paper should have: page numbering, table of contents, summary in Greek and English, up to 5 keywords in Greek and English, numbered bibliographic references.

The first pages of the thesis should include the following:

  • For undergraduate and postgraduate theses:

School, Department, title/specialization of the postgraduate program, title of the thesis, name of the author, registration number, full name of the supervising professor & of the two members of the three-member committee.

 

  • For Doctoral Theses:

School, Department, title of the work, name of the author, registration number, as well as the seven-member committee with their rank.

 

STEP 2

Certificate of Successful Completion

TAKE NOTICE! Without this form, the registration and approval of your thesis will not proceed.

Please, fill in the Pergamos Certificate/Consent form and deliver it via email or in person to the Secretariat of your Department for signature and stamp.

 

STEP 3

PERGAMOS ACCESS RESTRICTION FORMS

The library encourages students to make their papers available under Open Access status.

If nonetheless you wish to restrict the access to your paper, please fill in and email the corresponding form to the Library of the School of Sciences (sci(at)lib.uoa.gr)

For Graduate & Postgraduate theses/dissertations you can choose to make your paper publicly unavailable:

** for 12 months

** for 24 months

** for 36 months

For Doctoral theses/dissertations you can choose to have your paper publicly unavailable:

*** from 60 months for special reasons

*** or for an unlimited period of time for exceptional reasons.

STEP 4

Students are requested to visit the Library of the School of Sciences in order to return any overdue books.

You will then receive via email a certificate which will state, that you have returned all books borrowed during your studies & that your paper has been successfully submitted to the Repository, which you will present to the Secretariat of your School.
