Law School Library - Reading Rooms Reopen

According to the revised NKUA Libraries’ Rules & Regulations & the Joint Ministerial Degree regarding the operation of Libraries, we are pleased to announce that the Library will operate daily from 08:30 to 16:00, taking all the necessary precautions against the COVID-19 pandemic.

All in-person services are available by appointment only. Priority will be given to the Law Faculty members (students and academic staff).

Wearing a mask is mandatory in all library spaces by patrons and staff alike, while all visitors should apply antiseptic hand gel at the entrance. Patrons eligible to a Covid self-test may be asked to present the document proving it.

READING ROOMS OPERATION

The two reading rooms on the 2nd floor will be available to patrons by appointment only and will operate in two 3-hour shifts daily (40 patrons max.) as follows:

  • Law Faculty members: Monday to Friday, 09:00-12:00 or 12:30-15:30.
  • External users: Tuesday and Thursday, 09:00-12:00 or 12:30-15:30.

To book a seat in advance, patrons will need to submit a request via <link forms.gle/viYxQcTyvuS2kG85A>this form</link>, indicating their preferred visit date and time and any materials they may need access to. Patrons are kindly advised to remain in the study space indicated to them by the library staff and to observe social distancing during their visit. Access to the bookshelves is not allowed. Prolonged stay beyond the 3-hour mark will have to be arranged beforehand.

USE OF COMPUTERS AND LEGAL DATABASES

Law Faculty members who do not have access to Greek legal databases may book a seat with a computer by sending an e-mail to the Library (law(at)lib.uoa.gr) stating their affiliation with the Faculty and/or registration number.
