Reopening of NKUA's Libraries (October 21st)

Categories

NKUA’s Libraries return to full function and provide their services, respecting all the guidelines issued by the Government in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect both our users and staff.

Under that scope, we present our new user guidelines, which will come into effect on Tuesday, October 21st.

The Libraries will be open for the public using either of the following timetables: Monday through Friday between 08.30-16.30 or Monday through Friday between 09.00-17.00.

For the selection of a timetable, or any variance of the aforementioned timetables, various factors will be taken into account, such as availability of staff, all guidelines in effect in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, vulnerable people, etc.

For all the in-person services (book loan service, use of Reading Rooms and PCs, interlibrary book loan service, etc.) users, will have to schedule an appointment in advance.

Regarding the Reading Rooms, users will have to schedule in advance a 2-hour appointment. 2-hour appointments are applied for better accommodating our users, while respecting the guidelines and avoiding overcrowding, especially during peak times.

Provision of electronic services continues as already established.
